Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide drafting and modeling support for Engineering projects and products
• Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems and recommend solutions to Manufacturing Engineering
• Recommend revisions and improvements to manufacturing methods and work instructions
• Conduct time studies and identify areas for process improvements
• Assist in failure analysis and troubleshooting of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause
• Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities
• Observing all safety policies and procedures, including the use of required protective equipment (PPE)
• Reading and understanding the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) related to and posted near the area
• Other duties as necessary

Skills & Qualifications:

• Exceptional written and verbal skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Able to efficiently manage time and resources
• Proficient in use of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong computer aided 2D and 3D design/drafting skills (AutoCAD/ Inventor preferred)
• Training and/or experience with automation programming (PLC ladder logic) a plus
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Good communication and listening skills
• Ability to work well and collaborate in a team environment
• Attention to detail

Minimum Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in manufacturing a plus
• Lean Six Sigma experience/training/certification a plus
